hein? qu'est-ce-qui se passe?!

I was having coffee and listening to music while reading my book in my bed. I think it was around three o'clock or something when I realise all kinds of sounds through the music. Sirens, loud bangs.. shhhhh-PAM. are those rockets or something?? constant multiple sirens. What the hell is going on out there? So i dress up quickly to go down to the streets. From our inner yard i saw one of those red emergency flares, and strong smell of burnt gunpowder. And the goddamn sirens.
So i go out and the whole street is in a cloud of smoke and people in some kind of uniforms walking down the street with flags and flares fired up. Firemen. I suppose the sirens were from their cars, since we have a hospital just in front, and ambulances have different sirens. Weird morning. I thought somebody was like taking over Paris or something.

The firemen were on strike i later learned. They also opened up all the waterposts on their way.
